PM Narendra Modi opens 75 Digital banking Units (DBUs) in Various Cities of India

 Modi said the special banking system shall work to provide maximum services from minimum digital infrastructure. “It will also simplify the banking procedure while providing a robust and secure banking system.


✅ These DBU r ATM type machines n will provide various banking services digitally which means u don't need to visit inside the bank n talk to the customer executive.

✅ Services are -

opening of savings accounts
balance-check
printing passbooks
transfer of funds
investment in FD
loan applications
stop-payment instructions for cheques
applications for credit and debit cards
tax and bill payment and nominations

Every bank has their separate DBU

And facilities can vary from bank to bank.

Currently, 75 DBU has been opened n in the future lot more will be opened

The purpose is to make banking easy for those people who don't have an internet banking facility
